Olajide Awosanya operates Scriptura: Bible Quest and is the data controller for the personal data described here.

• Account data (email, sign-in details, display name) — to create and secure your account. Basis: contract.
• Study preferences (language, Bible version, daily goal, theme, sound setting) — to personalise the app. Basis: contract.
• Progress data (XP, streaks, lessons, quests, coins, lives, league results, friends) — to run the game and social features. Basis: contract.
• Technical and security data (IP address, device/browser information, error logs) — to keep the service secure and prevent fraud. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support and sponsor messages you send us — to respond. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Subscription status (plan, renewal date, provider reference) — to provide Premium. Basis: contract.

We never collect or store card numbers, expiry dates or security codes. Payments are handled on hosted pages by Paystack (Nigeria) and by Stripe (UK and international), which manages card payments, subscriptions, tax and receipts for those orders.

We do not build behavioural profiles of children or target ads based on religion. Where a user's age is unknown, we apply child-safe defaults: no personalised ads, stricter limits, and no purchase prompts in sponsor content. Premium members see no ads.

Leaderboards and friends see only your display name, XP, weekly XP and streak. Your email is never shown to other users.

• Service providers for hosting, database, authentication and translation;

• Professional advisers such as legal and accounting;
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

We use only essential storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as theme and sound. We do not use advertising cookies.

We keep data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and progress are deleted; limited billing records may be kept as required by tax law, then deleted or anonymised. We use encryption in transit, access controls and server-side checks to protect your data.

Depending on where you live (including under Nigeria's Data Protection Act and UK/EU GDPR), you may access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority.
